London Calling

« Every artist begins with pastiche. It is through this pastiche that genius secretly slips in » – André Malraux, The voices of silence, 1951. Inspired by this sentence I created the pastiche of London calling by the Clash.

I used humor to hijack an extremely well-known photo. To make the image more absurd I replaced the bass with a child’s mini-guitar and recreated visual effects like deforming the shadow, using black and white, grain and high contrast.
